In today's lesson I continued working on the back cover, advert and the picture i'm using for the silhouette on my actual CD.
I started off with continuing with my template for the advert, by adding small institutional features and conventional information such as the website. I have tried to find a place to put the album information, as the advert is promoting the single and the music video, but I have not currently been able to do that:
I then moved on to the back cover. In the last lesson, I changed the writing to the all together version, however I felt like the writing was too big in this way, so I decided to separate it into groups of three or pairs and place it near one girl:
I also shaded in the background with black at the very top and very bottom but kept the gold lights as I liked the effect it had on the image. I then added the institutional features like the copyright writing that is normally at the bottom, using my case studies as help for what to write.
Lastly, on the Brownstone cover, they included a image of the full album in the corner to promote it as that album was primarily for their song 'Pass the Lovin' and the remixes. As my album has a similar concept (in that it is only for Side2Side and the 90's version of the song which is Side Crush) I decided to try and do something similar:
I then went and continued on with the silhouette image:
