One thing I liked from the album was the uses of different fonts and colours on the front, which I felt added a unique and eye-catching element to the album. From this, I will most likely incorporate something similar to it.

Media Case Study: Bell Biv Devoe Album
One thing I liked from the album was the uses of different fonts and colours on the front, which I felt added a unique and eye-catching element to the album. From this, I will most likely incorporate something similar to it.
Media Case Study: Brownstone Album
The idea of using a silhouette is one that I particularly liked, and I want to try and incorporate something similar somewhere on the album - maybe on the actual CD. Their posing on the front and back cover was also another thing I liked, as I felt it perfectly fit the genre and upbeat nature of their song and also mine. From this, I've decided to include poses and positioning similar to this.

Media Case Study: Red Velvet Advert
Of course for my one I would style it as a 90s teen movie, similar to the Clueless and Jawbreaker film posters.

Media Case Study: 4minute Advert
With this advert, the typography is the thing that I believe I will include in my own advert. The use of colour on particular pieces of text is an aspect I like as I believe it is effective in gaining the audience's attention and interest, and therefore may include on my advert.

Media Case Study: JADE Album
The way that the group is presented through the photography is one thing I would like to incorporate in my own album. Through the mise-en-scene, and the colour scheme, it is clear that they are a group, and have a similar, unified look about them. This is one thing that I liked as most 90s groups focus on the members as individuals, which is good too, however I liked how the photos communicated the girl group image.
Media Case Study: Aaliyah Advert
This advert influenced me in terms of its typography and the styling and positioning of Aaliyah. The idea of using different fonts and sizes with the typography to highlight and emphasise important parts of the information was something I liked, and plan to include in my own advert. Also, the way that the fonts can link to the genre and theme of the song/album, as such is the case with the font used for "If Your Girl Only Knew", is a technique I liked as it already implied the theme of the audience and therefore I may use this.
In terms of styling, her style conforms to the style regularly worn by female 90s hip hop and r&b artists. As my group is meant to be a 90s girl group, this styling is the one that I would refer to when I am styling the group for the advert.
Lastly, in terms of positioning, her body language oozes a cool, chill vibe and together with the fact that she takes up the center of the poster, it shows her as the main feature of the advert, something I would like to replicate.

CD Package and Magazine Advert Pitch
IMG_4200 from sharay raymond-henry on Vimeo.
We gained feedback from the class which helped us in lots of ways. For starters, it became evident that we had correctly targeted our audience with the pictures we had taken as well as the album covers we had chosen to analyse as the audience got that it was aimed at a female audience. Additionally, our locations also seemed to link to the genre and video as this was mentioned.
Some of the video is left out however in those parts we got more feedback where we were told to be more specific with our actual ideas for the CD Package in terms of layout as well as connoting the 90s genre a bit more. Essentially, we have to individually develop our ideas more.
